Cifesal has participated in the International consortium of Romania, Greece, Germany, Czech Republic and Spain, which has implemented the programme Safety and Health for New Workers, an innovative project promoted by the Union of Professionals and Independent Workers of Castilla y León (UPTACYL), cofunded by the European Union within the Programme “Leonardo da Vinci”. The Programme is addressed to meet the training needs of the different stakeholders involved in Vocational Education and Training, as well as supporting the institutions and organisations involved in this kind of education and learning.
Safety and Health for new Workers offers an innovative solution for the problem of Occupational Safety and Health, by means of an online game in six languages, conceived to improve the training methods in this field, in particular oriented to the businesses run by professional and independent self-employees.
The game, accessible through the webpage of the project, www.shnw.eu, has been designed with a user friendly approach so that new workers, in particular young ones, may understand the hazards they will face in their working environment, and find the best way to prevent them and avoid the negative consequences arisen from labour accidents.
Cifesal has provided the project with its long experience in Occupational Safety and Health, as well as support in new technologies and coordination of International activities.
